Catherine Henderson (Cathy) is a seasoned trainer with over 30 years of expertise in the equestrian world, spanning multiple disciplines. Her passion for the sport ignited at a young age, propelling her to master the intricacies of eventing. Throughout her career, Cathy has honed her skills, becoming a trusted mentor and coach to countless riders. Cathy began her eventing career in 1982, competing multiple self-produced horses to the Intermediate and Advanced levels. 

Under her guidance, riders have flourished, achieving remarkable success in the demanding realm of eventing. Notably, her daughter, Caitlin Henderson, emerged under Cathy’s tutelage, conquering the prestigious 4-star level. 

Cathy’s approach to training blends technical precision with a deep understanding of horse psychology, fostering strong partnerships between horse and rider. Her dedication to the sport extends beyond the arena, as she tirelessly works to instill discipline, resilience, and sportsmanship in her students.

As an esteemed figure in the eventing community, Cathy continues to inspire and empower riders of all levels, shaping the future of the sport.

Henderson Equestrian Services is run out of Timber Run Stables in Pinckney, MI. We are primarily a Three-day Eventing stable however many students participate in purely dressage or show jumping.
